We, Halsten, ensure that we process personal data in a fair and transparent manner. We process personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, such as the Dutch Data protection act (in Dutch: ‘Wbp’) and the European General data protection regulation (GDPR).

We process personal data mostly in order to provide legal services. Such processing is necessary in light of the performance of the contract with our client. We will not share or transfer personal data that was obtained by us with other clients or third parties, unless we obtained prior consent to such transfer from the disclosing party. Furthermore, we process personal data such as names, email addresses and phone numbers, as far as necessary in order to contact our clients, to maintain business relationships and/or to invite (prospective or ex-)clients to our events. Such processing is based on either consent of the data subject, necessity for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, or our own legitimate (business) interests.

We process personal data in a manner that ensures appropriate security of the data. To that end, we protect personal data against unauthorised or unlawful processing. Where necessary, we conclude contracts with data processors (in Dutch: ‘bewerkers’), in order to govern the relationship between parties. We store personal data for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which they are processed. If you, as a data subject, want to exercise your right of access to the personal data we process about you, such request can be sent to info@halsten.nl. Requests for rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and/or data portability can also be sent to this email address. We will respond to incoming requests within four weeks.
